SpeckleClan is a clan that prioritizes religion and code-following. They were the first cats to oppose the idea of Bobcats dwelling with and being more than a predator to the clans, RoosterStar, the current SpeckleClan leader, was the first cat to declare war on ShadeClan.

Clan History.

Many, many moons ago, when the original four clans left the forest territory, few cats stayed behind for their own reasons.SpeckleTail and ShadePelt, two elders that stayed behind, seeing the travel as too troublesome for their old, aching joints, they eventually managed to hop onto a boat without notice, making their way to America.The travel was long, but eventually, they made it to Virginia, the territory was vast, and they eventually came across a wetland. Nearby, a neighborhood bustling with kittypets who sheltered ShadePelt and SpeckleTail, all while the two older shecats told tales of their clans, garnering quite the group of 20, maybe even 30 cats all intrigued by their stories.It didn't take long for the kittypets to begin playing in the wetland, forming their own "Clans" where they'd play pretend, acting out various scenarios as a pretend clan.After so long, the cats within these two separate clans, which were named after ShadePelt and SpeckleTail, the cats grew close, their groups tightly bonded, almost like a real clan.But the fun didn't last long. On one day, when greenleaf turned the air warm, the first cat within the wetland ascended to Starclan, mauled and eaten by a crocodile.The majority of the cats, upon learning the danger the wetland held, turned tail and ran back to the city, never to venture out again. But the few cats who stuck with ShadePelt and SpeckleTail knew that this was worth the risk. The bonds they've made was worth the possibility of death.And so, SpeckleClan and ShadeClan were born. SpeckleClan was the first to have a proper leader, deputy, and medicine cat, and the first to truly accept the clan tradition, ShadeClan following suit not long after.After many, many moons of the two clans thriving, seasons passing, and eventually SpeckleTail and ShadePelt passing, the two became deities of sorts to the two clans, but SpeckleClan always made a point to appear "Better" than ShadeClan on how close they were to the two felines, and started something of a rivalry between them.what really drew the clans apart was when Bobcats started coming around the territories. SpeckleClan cats saw them merely as predators, beings without consciousness who saw the clans merely as prey, all while ShadeClan opened up their ranks to welcome in the new cats.The idea of Bobcats as clanmates was widely disagreed upon in SpeckleClan, driving the rivalry between the clans from friendly, and occasionally messy, to violent and hate-driven. Even if it was never labeled a war, that's what it had been for generations.At least, until RoosterStar came into power.One moon, during a gathering, in front of cats of both clans, RoosterStar declared a war on ShadeClan, stating that housing Bobcats is directly contradicting the reason the two clans even exist, despite having no evidence to back up these claims.It's been 2 weeks since the last gathering, and since the war was enstated. RoosterStar often hosts raids on ShadeClan, taking their herbs, prey, anything they can get their paws on.
